Hate campaign dogs dead puppy girl-(HongKong)

A teenage girl who posted photos of a dead puppy online has come under fierce attack from netizens who have accused her of abusing and killing the animal. 
But her school says the puppy died of an illness and has condemned the internet bullying the girl suffered.

The pictures of the dead puppy were uploaded last week.

Within hours, a campaign was launched, drawing wide support from netizens and animal lovers.

People were asked to identify the girl in order to post information of her background online to humiliate her.

As many as 6,800 netizens joined the campaign to condemn the girl. One also sent an e-mail to The Standard saying: "I can't believe that there's a local girl who has abused and killed her little dog and then proudly circulates and spreads the word to the whole wide world by posting the pictures and videos on the net. 

"How could she be so cruel and do such a thing? I am really sad to see this happening today."

The online campaign came to the attention of the girl's school in Yuen Long.

The school said the girl had only tagged the puppy, which belonged to her friend, and had not hurt the animal in any way. "The allegations against the girl are unfair and hurtful," it said.
