Cathay Pacific New Plans Flights to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, boosts services to Taipei and Jakarta.

Cathay Pacific Airways today announced its intention to resume operations to Haneda Airport in Tokyo with a twice-daily service in addition to serving Narita International Airport. The new service will begin in October, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Tony Tyler said: “The Haneda flights will give our passengers more choice and greater flexibility when travelling between Hong Kong and the Japanese capital. Tokyo has long been an important destination for Hong Kong people for both business and leisure travel, and the addition of more Cathay Pacific flights will further enhance ties between the two cities.”

The airline first operated to Haneda in 1959, when it launched its Tokyo service. By 1978, it was operating four passenger flights a day and four freighter services a week before all international airlines switched their scheduled operations from Haneda to Narita that year.

Cathay Pacific currently operates six flights a day – five direct and one via Taipei – to Narita. In total the airline offers 91 passenger flights and 11 freighter services per week between Hong Kong and five major gateways in Japan: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo.

In a bid to further boost its services, Cathay Pacific will add two daily flights to Taipei – the first being introduced on 11 June and the second on 1 July – to make a total of 94 flights a week. In addition, from September the airline will increase the number of flights to Jakarta from 14 to 18 a week. Full details of the enhanced services are as follows:

Brand new travel kits available for Cathay Pacific passengers!!!

Cathay Pacific Airways will be introducing a new range of travel kits for Business Class passengers travelling long haul from mid-May onwards, featuring a new design by renowned French fashion brand agnès b., with products from two leading US skin care companies - Murad and Dermalogica.
agnès b. has been designing Business Class travel kits for Cathay Pacific since 2007 and the vivid fashionable signature bags have been well received by passengers. The Business Class female signature bag comes in red or black and features the iconic Eiffel Tower, while the male signature bag comes in black with either the brand’s stylish lizard logo or the signature “b.” symbol.
For flights departing Hong Kong, the Business Class travel kits contain skincare products from Dermalogica, a US brand devoted to developing the products, education and treatments necessary to help clients achieve optimum skin health. Included in the travel kits is the Multi Vitamin Power Firm for eyes and lips and the Pure Night treatment cream.
Kits on flights to Hong Kong will continue to carry skincare products from Murad, a top selling clinical skincare range that is available in 46 countries worldwide. Included in the travel kits is the Pomegranate Lip Protector SPF 15 for dehydrated lips and the Pomegranate Body Lotion.
The new female travel kits will be offered from mid-May, while the male travel kits will be available in June.
Cathay Pacific also introduced new colours in its range of Shanghai Tang-designed sleepersuits for earlier this year. First Class passengers travelling long haul can now rest comfortably during the flight in a fashionable sleepersuit created by the prominent Hong Kong-based brand.
The new designs come in four different colours and trims - dark chocolate with dark orange trim, dark navy with light purple trim, dark charcoal with turquoise trim and black with a fuchsia trim – which are being offered in rotation.

Jessamine recoiled from the paper as if it were a snake. "A lady does not read the newspaper. The society pages, perhaps, or the theater news. Not this filth."
"But you are not a lady, Jessamine---," Charlotte began.
"Dear me," said Will. "Such harsh truths so early in the morning cannot be good for the digestion.
